18 month photo shoot with Auntie Jody

Auntie Jody was nice enough to put up with us wanting some family pics and even more wanting 18 month pics of our little man with an attitude.  I think the terrible 2′s have kicked in, he’s more and more whiney and crying about every little thing these days.  I am sure the heat and his last few teeth coming in have a little to do with it, but I can’t wait until this whiney stage is over.  Auntie Jody got a little taste of it this past weekend when we went up to her place in St. Cloud and took some pictures at their new lake house and then at a park close by.  Check a few of them out below…

Thank you Auntie Jody – you always do a great job, despite the crabbyness of our son!

Here’s a link to the Kodak gallery for the whole shoot…enjoy!

It’s cute now

Just like our day care said…its cute now, here’s Will and his friend Natalie (her daughter) – pictures speak louder than words…

Now maybe this explains why William likes his day care so much.  Every time we day something like “want to go see your friends” it brings the biggest smile to his face and he runs to the top of the steps to leave.  I am so glad he likes playing with all his friends, it would be miserable to drop him off everyday if he didn’t like it.  It’s still sad to leave him as he watches me from the window, but at least he’s not screaming or sobbing…he’s actually waving bye bye to me and watching me leave in the car.  What a little sweetheart.

In preggo news lately, I had my diabetes screening on Monday and according to Fairview MyChart I passed so naturally I stopped at DQ for ice cream to celebrate on the way home.  I love MyChart, for those of you that go to a Fairview I HIGHLY recommend signing up for it.  You actually get to see ALL your test and lab results literally within minutes of you doing it at times, depending on how busy the lab is or if htey have to send it out.  Its SUPER easy to communicate with our provider about any questions or make appointments.  Anyways, thats my pitch…I really like it and I have access to Will’s record at any time too.  Otherwise I am doing good…feeling larger than ever, and taking Tums like candy throughout the day, but I have not started swelling or have really no other complaints at this point.  Baby seems to respond to Daddy’s voice in the evenings, it’s rather funny…Andrew can just start talking and he will move all over the place.

William is doing something fun and new lately too…the last week or so he has learned to do a “Bodyslam”.  Andrew lies on the floor and we tell Will to bodyslam and he goes over to him puts his arms in the air and falls on him, its hilarious!  If I can get that on video I will be sure to share it with you!

Dancing

One more thing, my mother and father-in-law really know how to cut a rug and I had to get a quick video of it at the dance last weekend.  I hope Andrew and I can take after them, look at them go!

Wedding last weekend

Andrew was asked to be in his sister’s wedding last weekend…it was a very beautiful wedding on the Majestic Star (boat) on the St. Croix river in Stillwater, MN.  Below are a few pics from our busy, very HOT weekend.

More new things to report

Not like I didn’t expect this, but I really have a little copy cat on my hands.  I began brushing my teeth at the same time as Will maybe a little over a month ago and about a week ago Andrew and I happened to both be in the bathroom while we were brushing teeth to witness his first ever spit!  Yes, my son now knows how to spit thanks to watching Mommy brush her teeth in front of him.  It’s actually VERY cute, he leans over the sink and makes a small spitting noise and he will do it several times while brushing his teeth.  I guess I really have to keep an eye out for what I do!

Of course Will is adding to his vocabulary daily…he now says truck, Boppa (Grandpa), Ma (Grandma) and much more.  I feel like I should keep writing down all the new words he says cause I don’t remember all of them any more, must be the preggo brain.

In my world, things are going good.  I have been feeling a few pains here and there in my belly so I am trying to relax a little more and see if it’s just stress related.  I am almost 26 weeks so it could just be some Braxton Hicks and other muscles stretching, but I don’t want to take any chances.  Our second little man is moving like crazy everyday so I have no doubt I will have another little mover on our hands in no time.

Have a good weekend!  We have a family wedding on Andrew’s side, so we’re REALLY busy this weekend with him in the wedding.

Cheers!

Dress up time with cousins

Last Thursday William spent some time with his Auntie Chrissy and his 3 cousins Paige, Alyssa and Maddy.  Needless to say they had a little fun playing dress up with my son, see below.  I think he really enjoyed spending the day with them while Daddy has his first day on the job at Cargill.  I think he’s really going to enjoy it there and once we get back into a regular schedule it will feel a lot better around here.  Just seems like we’ve kinda been in limbo since he was laid off but hopefully the new job will help.

I will update again soon as we had an eventful weekend traveling to Iowa and spending lots of time with the Zetah side (much, much smaller than the Aiken side).

Happy Dance

A must see, Oscar performance!  Andrew taught William to do his “Happy Dance” a couple of days ago.  Today it fit in really well as they ran some errands in town and Daddy picked up lunch at McDonald’s and Will seemed to enjoy the box much better than the toy.  Here he is doing his Happy Dance, enjoy!

Single mom

No, no, no…Andrew and I didn’t break up.  I just look like a single mom since I broke down last night and decided to officially take my rings off for pregnancy #2.  I don’t recall when it happened with William, but I am pretty sure it happened earlier this time, as everything has seemed to.  Not only does it NOT help that I am larger earlier but its in the middle of a hot summer.  Ugh.  I  don’t usually mind he heat, but this summer has already been almost to the point of unbearable.  I am in need of AC at nearly every location I visit to avoid being the the SUPER glowing preggo lady!

So, I am not only getting larger by the day, I now look like a preggo single lady again.  Nothing wrong with that at all, but I really like wearing my rings and pretty much feel naked without them.

First time camping with Grandma and Grandpa Zetah

Will and I spent the night with Grandma and Grandpa Zetah at Collinwood park in Cokato on Saturday.  There were some bad storms that evening, but luckily just some rain in Cokato.  According to Grandma and Grandpa Z, Will had a great time while I was gone at a wedding and by the time I arrived he was so tired he crashed in the camper, with a little fight but just cause he was SO tired.  Below are a few pics from Sunday morning driving his car and then crashing AGAIN in the car when we left for home after lunch.  I don’t think he’s ever fallen asleep so quickly for a nap, I was maybe a mile away and this is what he looked like!  What in the world did Grandma and Grandpa Zetah do to him?  They may have some explaining to do!
